Job Description:

1. Prepares daily production list 
2. Ensures that all stations remain stocked before and during the meal period 
3. Verifies that kitchen staff follows all recipes and portion servings correctly (TASTES all food)
4. Keeps kitchen, dish, and storage areas clean and organized 
5. Places food and supply orders as directed 
6. Actively participates as a member of the management team 
7. Manages staffing levels throughout shift 
8. Oversees kitchen labor and food cost to budgetary requirements 
9. Provides training to newly hired employee 
10. Receives product deliveries, verifying invoice and freshness of the product
11. Keeps kitchen clean, station prep properly

Qualifications:

1. College or culinary training or extensive cooking and production experience. 
2. A minimum of 3 years working in a food preparation position 
3. Understanding of proper use and maintenance of major kitchen equipment, including stoves, refrigeration, slicer & knives 
4. Problem-solving abilities be self-motivated & organized. 
5. Professional communication skills, oral and written 

1. Demonstrates strong leadership skills and is a team player 
2. Works well under pressure. 
3. Basic math skills 
4. Able to take direction
